Our History

Ann Slade Care Home in Southport has been established as a residential care facility within Sefton care homes and Southport care homes since 1940s originally as Brooklyn Nursing Home and was run by the Granford family for 80 years. It served as a traditional residential care home , providing support for elderly people and as a nursing home in Southport after the war. In 1997, the Southport nursing home was changed to Ann Slade Care Home in honour of a dedicated matron Ann Slade who greatly contributed to the care home's success and quality of care for it's residents. We pride ourselves as one of the longest established and best care homes in Southport and Merseyside area.

Our Team

Our team of skilled nurses, healthcare professionals and and caregivers are committed to providing exceptional residential care to all our care home residents. We also have a full time Activity Coordinator and a full-time maintenance handyman as part of our team. We will work together to create an individualised care plan that meets each care home resident's unique needs and preferences.

We encourage service users a choice of weekly activities and will discuss activity choices in regular service user meetings. Activities also include trips to the local community and entertainment both in-house and from outside agencies
