Our History

Ann Slade Care Home in Southport has been established as a residential EMI dementia care facility within Sefton care homes and Southport care homes since 1946 originally as Brooklyn Nursing Home and was run by the Granford family for almost 80 years. It served as a traditional residential care home , providing support for elderly people and as a nursing home in Southport after the war. In 1997, the Southport nursing home was changed to Ann Slade Care Home in honour of a dedicated matron Ann Slade who greatly contributed to the care home's success and quality of care for it's residents. Our team of skilled nurses, healthcare professionals, doctors and and caregivers are committed to providing exceptional residential care to all our care home residents. We also have Activity Coordinators and a full-time maintenance handyman as part of our team. Activities also include trips to the local community and entertainment both in-house and from outside agencies
