Ann Slade Care Home has been established as a residential EMI dementia care facility in Sefton since 1946. Originally known as Brooklyn Nursing Home and operated by the Granford family for nearly 80 years, it served as a residential care home in Southport, and as a nursing home after the war. In 1997, the home was renamed Ann Slade Care Home in honour of a dedicated matron, Ann Slade, whose contributions enhanced the quality of care for residents.
